I want to thank you for accepting the job at our school as our new band director! I look forward to meeting you in person, and hearing about the things you can bring into our band. I would like to welcome you to come to our leadership meeting that will be held on august 6th at 3:00 pm in the PHS band room. I would also like to invite you to our band camp witch will be held August 10th - 14th from the hours of 8am to 8pm at PHS. I look forward to your response. Till then take care

Thank you for your message. I will be at PHS much of this week, including Thursday’s meeting. I appreciate your warm welcome and am looking forward to bringing some new ideas to the program. I already have many plans both for the meeting and for band camp.

The meeting will be spent on certainly introductions, but more importantly making sure we are all on the same page regarding technique, schedules and positions. As I mentioned, I already have many plans for the program but I would love to hear from you what ideas may have already been decided on, particularly regarding marching band.

Thank you for your concern, I appreciate a forward-thinking drum major.
